Here is my video for project 3! I definitely could have done more animation wise but I am kinda happy with how it turned out considering I was having a lot of trouble with my puppet t first.
I really like the puppet and the illustrations on the loons. The design looks really well done, I think some more movement would add to the final video.
Love the fun facts! I agree with everyone above, having a surface for your guy to stand on would help him feel less out of place (even if he was just sitting on an inflatable raft or something), and having him gesture with his hands as he talked would make him feel a bit more lively. I think I can hear some background ambiance/music that you included, but it's very quiet and doesn't carry on to the end of the video to be noticeable enough.
I agree with the others that your character just seems to be floating, but your different illustrations of the loon really help us understand what it is talking about! good job!
Your character looks so good, I just feel like he is kinda floating there, the illustrations are also really cool. the background music could also be a little louder.
I am planning to remake a project I did last year for digital imaging (Back when it was still called digital imaging lol) Im going to be using the same "animation" technique as last year where I just use still PNGs though I might play around with the puppet feature built into after effects. Otherwise i'm just focused on making the story a bit more clear than the 1st one. For my effect I chose this tutorial as I think this animation would look cool with a CRT effect over it. My Og Project:
Sorry that this is up so late! I am having trouble with the last half of my audio getting cut off, but I thought I would post this sooner rather than later. I am working on fixing my audio behind the scenes! Next (After I fix my audio problems), I want to play with the animations after effects offers as well as moving my type placement around a bit, since I stuck with left to right a lot. I am thinkin about adding some music in the background but I am still unsure. Lemme know what you think! (Audio is from Twin Peaks)

ReplyDeleteThis looks great, I love the drawings! I think one thing that would really bring it together is a surface for your narrator to stand on
ReplyDeleteThe drawings look great! I just wish there was some sort of intro and outro to tie everything together

ReplyDeleteYour character is very well done and matches the context very well. Great Job!
ReplyDeleteWow, your artwork is so well done!! The video is very well put together. I agree with the others, it might be nice for him to have somewhere to stand.
ReplyDeleteYour loon illustrations were really well done as was the character. Giving the character a ground to stand on would put things into perspective more.
